In the hunting apparel world, there are tons of options to pick from. A lot of what we see is the same thing over and over again, and the question becomes “Why ASIO? What makes you any different?”
Well, the answer is ASIO might, or might not, be the fit for you. Our goal is to help hunters be more successful – PERIOD – and clothing can certainly do that if you are wearing the correct gear for the type of hunting you are doing. If you are looking for a mountain hunting/hiking apparel line, ASIO won’t be the correct fit, and there is other gear better suited for that style of hunting. However, if you are a deer hunter that predominantly hunts from trees and tree stands, ASIO is by far the best choice and here is why:

- Ultimate Concealment: First and foremost, our ASIO Raptor Camo® pattern is a natural ambush predator style camo – it came from nature (the Great Horned Owl) and blends into trees seamlessly. Taking inspiration from nature’s finest camouflage and using what we know about deer eyesight, we’ve perfected the pattern to keep hunters in the whitetail range better concealed than anything else on the market.
- Ultimate Comfort: There is a big difference between walking to a deer stand and sitting for 4-8 hours completely still with no movement to generate heat, versus hiking in the elk mountains where you are constantly generating body heat. You must have a system that is windproof, insulated, and silent, but at the same time won’t overheat you when you are walking to the stand. This is where ASIO shines.
All of our pants and bibs have heat dump zippers, and our jackets and tops have full or ½ zips that can be opened on the walk in or easily packed in to keep you cool.
Once in the stand, ASIO’s fabrics, design, and insulation take over. Our proprietary windproof fabrics are dead quiet, so when you go to draw your bow or stand on those bitter frosty mornings you won’t be heard. Combine the windproof outer fabrics with the PrimaLoft®* insulation, and you can literally stay warm for hours and hours sitting completely still. A garment that is windproof, totally insulated, and silent is tough to accomplish, but ASIO has it dialed.
- Functional Features: Finally – when you are tree stand hunting, it is important to have pockets, collars, and safety harness ports that work in the tree. Our system does just that and especially for bowhunters. All of our pants have 6 front pockets that are easy to access, standing or sitting, with our thigh pockets having silent flaps over the top so there is zero chance of noise. The 2.0 versions of our mid and late season tops have our patent pending bowhunting collar (our 1.0 versions still offer the full collar for rifle hunters), and our chest pockets and hand warming pockets are practically made, not over engineered with crazy zippers and unnecessary angles and designs.
